NewsSmith’s Ferry Services is proud to announce that the company has been awarded the official ship-tendering contract for both the USS Gerald R. Ford, the United States Navy’s newest and most advanced aircraft carrier, and the USS Stockdale.
Under the leadership of Marjorie E. Smith, President of Smith’s Ferry Services, who brings over 40 years of experience in marine operations and logistics, Smith’s Ferry led the full tendering and transportation logistics coordination for the U.S Navy visits. The operation brought together a collaborative fleet of local maritime partners, including Road Town Fast Ferry, Inter-Island Boat Services, Varlack Ventures, Ocean Dreams, Transportation Services, and Native Son, demonstrating the strength, capability, and professionalism of the Virgin Islands marine industry.
